Now that i’m 17 I feel much sorrow
For the time that you can never get back
I want the day to end and it be tomorrow
The here and now just kinda seems to lack

You can easily return to the past
But no one you know or love will be there
Memory shines bright in your brain glassed
It’s where infinity is, forever it will blare

Optimism for the future is essential
Without it you will feel stuck or lost
Knowing it can get better gives potential
So you don’t get stuck in icy cold frost

Here I am again wishing time away
“I can’t wait till I graduate in may”
